Yes, “Tweeny” really is her name!

Well, at least it’s what she’s been called since birth. A native of India, Tweeny explains that in Indian culture they give babies nicknames at birth and later give them their “real” name. Her real name or legal name is Gurpreet, which means “love of God.” How appropriate because when she met Jesus she fell deeply in love with Him. 

Tweeny is a devoted wife, loving mother, and grandmother, blogger and development specialist for Dr. James Dobson, creator of Focus on the Family. 

She was born in New Delhi, India, raised in Brussels, Belgium, and came to the US in 1980 to attend Boston College, after which she worked in the fashion industry. It was in this season that she met her husband, Will. They were married two years later, in 1989. Shortly after they had three children, Roman, Nolan. and Nikki. 

Today, Will and Tweeny are enjoying their sweet and simple life as empty-nesters. However, both of them would consider being grandparents a sweet surprise from the Lord.

Tweeny will publish her first book later this year: Nothing Broken, Nothing Missing- a true story of Jesus’s power-giving hope to broken marriages.
