“I thought I knew what I needed. I was confidently wrong.”
As an intern at OneWay Ministries and a Bible student at Wheaton College, Ava guarantees that five years ago, she wouldn’t have recognized herself.
Valedictorian of her high school class, Ava had to completely rewire her brain and organize her priorities to force God into the driver’s seat. Academic validation, searching for fulfillment, constant anxiety, and an unstable vision of success left her spiritually, mentally, and socially debilitated until God wrecked her life. After grasping the concept of an “undivided heart” and repenting from her twisted view on life, God challenged her future plans. She gradually discarded her dreams of a lucrative career to embrace the humble, beautiful field of ministry.
Pursuing a major in Biblical and Theological Studies and a minor in Studio Art, Ava embraces a world that she would have once considered “stupid” or “impractical.” Preaching to her doubts, she follows the Holy Spirit, which most recently led her to OneWay Ministries. She combines her newfound joy in ministry and art by creating Prayercast videos and producing all kinds of Christian media.
