Gareth is husband to Beth, Father to Isabella, Isla and Pepper the cat. He has an incredible story, coming from a broken home, surviving sexual abuse, homelessness, debt, unemployment and a failed marriage, into finding faith, dealing with his issues and forgiveness.

In 2022 he launched Wrestling Church, combining baptisms and bodyslams, preaching and piledrivers, sermons and suplexes. This was featured on BBC One in a 30 minute documentary as part of the We Are England series, titled: The Bradford Church of Wrestling.

We are seeing this worshipping community grow and have baptised around 20 people in 2022.

In his spare time you will find him playing video games, spending time with his family or touring England speaking & sharing his testimony at churches, men’s breakfasts and conferences with GT Ministries, which also hold wrestling events with the gospel as the centrepiece.

He has been a Pro Wrestler for 12 years under the name of Gareth Angel and have won championships all over the UK. He also dabbles in acting, having starred in a few films, choreographed fight scenes, wrote scripts and produced.
