Shahe’s father is Afghan and her mother is American. She grew up in the US as a Muslim and became a Christian. In her quest to find “truth” in who she is, and who God planned her to be, she found a great love and interest in studying the Bible.
“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” Psalm 119:105
Shahe has always loved art, architecture, history, and music, and loves her children dearly. Other passions include cooking, reading, studying languages (she speaks Farsi, English and Arabic!), painting, photography, and travel. The Bible opened up worlds for her to explore. She spent the past two decades traveling to Biblical sites, studying languages, and meeting people with great stories.
The “Persian in her” wanted to know where she came from and who she was. The “Unbeliever in her” wanted to know what truth is, so she started looking. Shahe found “Truth” and His Name is Jesus. The “Believer in her” wanted to know more about God and who He is. The “Seeker in her” found a rich history in the Middle East, full of good food, beautiful people, and historical sites that kept her seeker-self engaged with the One True God. She has a relationship that is real and authentic.
Shahe has found great joy searching her Bible and walking in Israel, Turkey, Persia, Arabia, Greece, Italy, and Jordan. She continues to seek God and to find out how she can become more like Him. Life can be a burden. A life that balances the law of God and faith in God is one that will bring the carrier of the burdens of life great joy.
The Bible says, “I have no greater joy than this, to hear of my children walking in the Truth.” (3 John 1:4 NASB)
Shahe has written six books available in paperback and ebook formats.
“Born Afghan Born American Born Again” is volume one of her testimony.
“Born Muslim Became Christian Beloved Israel” is volume two.
“My Journey My Jesus My Joe” is volume three.
Book four is a devotional, “Seasons For A Reason.”
